Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian teenager Zadok Yohanna in a club-record deal worth £21.5 million.
The 18-year-old winger joins Brighton from Swedish club AIK Stockholm after attracting interest from several European giants, including Chelsea, Newcastle United, and German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund.
Yohanna’s rise to prominence has been nothing short of remarkable. The young forward left his family home at just 13 years old to pursue his football dream through grassroots football in Nigeria before earning a move abroad.
His breakthrough campaign in Sweden caught the attention of top scouts across Europe, with the Nigerian starlet registering five goals and four assists this season for AIK Stockholm.
