Hundreds of residents of Ilorin Central Constituency have benefited from the fourth phase of a major empowerment programme facilitated by the Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Oba Magaji Abdulkadir.
The empowerment initiative, which took place at Baptist Primary School, Surulere, Ilorin, saw no fewer than 600 beneficiaries receive various entrepreneurial tools and financial support aimed at boosting small-scale businesses and improving livelihoods.
Items distributed during the programme included sewing machines, grinding machines, freezers, vulcanizing machines, popcorn machines, salon equipment, hand dryers and other business tools, alongside cash grants for selected beneficiaries.
The programme attracted community leaders, political stakeholders and residents who commended the lawmaker for what they described as a consistent effort to improve the economic well-being of his constituents.

Speaking on the impact of the initiative, beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the lawmaker, noting that the support would help them establish new businesses or expand existing ventures amid current economic challenges.
According to information obtained by NewKwara Media Online, the empowerment programme forms part of Hon. Abdulkadir’s ongoing constituency intervention projects designed to promote self-reliance, entrepreneurship and economic growth across Ilorin Central.
Observers noted that the latest intervention underscores the lawmaker’s commitment to grassroots development and community empowerment.
