Kwara Creatives Applauds Gov. AbdulRazaq for Supporting Photojournalist Who Lost Equipment to Fire
The Kwara Creatives Community has commended Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for replacing the professional equipment lost by Kwara-based photojournalist and creative professional, Abdullahi Sanni, following a devastating fire incident that destroyed his working tools earlier this year.
In a statement issued by the community, Kwara Creatives described the governor’s intervention as a powerful demonstration of his administration’s commitment to youth development, talent support, and the growth of the creative industry in the state.
According to the statement, the replacement of Abdullahi Sanni’s equipment goes beyond material support, as it restores hope, confidence, and the opportunity for a young creative to continue contributing meaningfully to society through storytelling, photography, and visual documentation.
The community also acknowledged the efforts of Hon. Quweey Olododo, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Rafiu Ajakaye, and Senior Special Assistant on Communications, Ibraheem Abdullateef (Egghead), for their roles in facilitating the intervention and supporting a member of the creative community during a difficult period.
Kwara Creatives noted that the gesture sends a strong message to young people across the state that their talents, careers, and contributions are valued. The group further described Governor AbdulRazaq as a leader who continues to demonstrate that governance is not only about infrastructure and policies but also about investing in people and creating opportunities for them to thrive.
