Buratai Calls for Stronger Security Architecture, Says Bandits Can Be Traced

A former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (rtd), has questioned claims that security agencies are unable to locate bandits and kidnappers who openly share videos and communicate from their hideouts.

The former Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic spoke during an interview on on Monday insisted that authorities have the capacity to track such criminals who frequently publicise their activities.

The retired lieutenant general however suggested that there could be reasons behind the operational decisions of security operatives, adding that the nation’s security architecture must be strengthened through continuous training, recruitment and improved welfare for security personnel.
