The meeting, which was marked by warmth, mutual respect and productive dialogue, provided an opportunity for Hajia Hauwau Alabi-Bashir to present her vision for inclusive representation, sustainable development and improved welfare for the people of the constituency.
In her remarks, Sofun Auntie Hauwa emphasized the importance of consulting widely and drawing from the wealth of experience of community elders.
She noted that their guidance remains critical to shaping policies and initiatives that truly reflect the needs and aspirations of the people.
“I am here to listen, learn and seek your blessings and support,” she said. “Our collective wisdom and unity will pave the way for meaningful progress in Ilorin South.
”The elders, in their responses, commended her humility, accessibility, and longstanding contributions to community development. They also offered valuable advice and expressed optimism about her aspiration, urging her to remain steadfast and people-oriented.
The engagement forms part of her ongoing grassroots consultations aimed at building a people-driven agenda that prioritizes youth empowerment, women inclusion, education, healthcare and infrastructural development.
