We, the concerned members of APC in Patigi Local Government, appeal to our leaders His Excellency Mall. Abdurahman Abdulrazak, Rt. Hon. Engr. Saliu Yakubu Danladi, and all APC leaders ( national and State ) to urgently reconsider the Kwara North Senatorial nomination.
For years, peace in Patigi LGA has been sustained by a rotational zoning agreement among, Patigi, Lade and Kpada Districts. By this convention, the 2027 Senate slot is due to Patigi local government and from Lade District. This existing zoning convention of peace, unity & inclusiveness that exists in Patigi Local government is the same we seek for Kwara State Governorship to Kwara North , our existing political zoning convention that is known to all for ages should not be tempered with as there is no reason for it to be destroyed under this leadership
Imposing the candidacy from Patigi District undermines this agreement and risks division within our party. In the interest of unity, fairness, and APC’s victory in Kwara North, we respectfully request that the nomination be amended in favour of a qualified candidate from Lade District as Lade District take lead after Patigi District in the agreement.
