Ilorin Emirate Pavilion project begins as Emir, steering committee hands over site to contractor

Construction of the Ilorin Emirate Multipurpose Pavilion has officially commenced following the formal handover of the project site to the appointed contractor by the Pavilion Steering Committee.

The handover ceremony was conducted under the supervision of the committee chairman, Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, and received the endorsement of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.

The Emir commended the initiative and called on residents and stakeholders to support the successful execution of the project, describing it as a culturally significant development for the Ilorin Emirate.

Ilorin Emirate Pavilion project

According to him, the multipurpose pavilion is expected to promote the rich heritage of the emirate, boost tourism, and contribute to socio-cultural development in Ilorin and across Kwara State.

The pavilion, when completed, will serve as a central venue for cultural festivals, exhibitions and other community-based activities.

Details of the project were disclosed in a statement issued by the Media Officer to the Pavilion Steering Committee, Ibraheem Abdullateef.
