Cypherdevs Technologies has recorded a historic milestone for Nigeria as it becomes the country’s first officially accredited Coordinator for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI).
The confirmation, issued through Certificate No. 144 and dated December 9, 2025, positions the Ilorin-based EdTech organization as the body responsible for overseeing Nigeria’s participation in the 2026 edition of the Olympiad.
With this accreditation, Cypherdevs Technologies now holds exclusive authority to organize Nigeria’s national selection process and prepare the country’s representatives for the global competition, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates and hosted by the renowned Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi.
This development marks Nigeria’s first official entry into the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence, aligning the nation with other countries participating in the global showcase designed for exceptional young minds in pre-university AI innovation.

According to the IOAI Board, Cypherdevs Technologies earned the role based on its strong track record of inclusive, transparent, and nationally impactful initiatives evident in its programs such as KidsCanCode, Tech Titans, 3MTT, and the IDEAS Program.
The Board also emphasized that the national selection process must remain fully inclusive and non-profit-driven, allowing only minimal fees where necessary to cover essential administrative costs.
Cypherdevs Technologies reaffirmed its commitment to these principles, promising a fair and accessible selection system for students across all geopolitical zones.
Speaking on the accreditation, the Founder of Cypherdevs Technologies, Abdulazeez Tajudeen, described the achievement as a major step toward positioning Nigeria prominently in the global AI space.

Cypherdevs Technologies is expected to announce the national registration portal, selection timelines, competition structure, state-level partnership windows, and opportunities for mentors and volunteers in the coming weeks.
The IOAI Secretariat has also pledged technical support for the early stages of implementation and will provide access to its Edu-Space Platform to enhance student preparation at no cost.
