The House of Representatives on Wednesday expressed grave concern over fake tax reform law in circulation.
Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki who raised a point of privilege during plenary, alleged that there are discrepancies between the tax reform bills passed by the National Assembly and signed into law by the President.
Hon. Dasuki said the documents being gazetted and sold to Nigerians do not reflect what the National Assembly passed.
He said: “What was passed on the floor is not what is gazetted.
“Mr Speaker, Honourable Colleagues, I was here, I gave my vote and it was counted, and I am seeing something completely different.

“I am calling on Mr. Speaker to graciously look at what was harmonised, what is in the gazetted copy, and what was passed on this floor.”
While noting that the discrepancies amounted to a constitutional breach, Hon. Dasuki urged the House to treat the matter with urgency.
“This is a breach of the Constitution and a breach of our laws, and it should not be taken lightly by this honourable house,” he said.
To this end, he advocated that the version passed by the National Assembly be presented before the Committee of the Whole for further legislative scrutiny with a view to make necessary corrections.
While ruling, Speaker Abbas Tajudeen who acknowledged the concern raised by Hon. Dasuki assured that necessary action would be taken in due course.
