England manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Harry Kane is fully fit and ready to start in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

According to Sky Sports on Monday, Kane, 32, was a surprise inclusion on the bench during England’s 3-0 win over Wales, having missed training in the lead-up due to an ankle injury.

Although he didn’t feature in the match, Tuchel has now provided a positive update on the striker’s condition.

England boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Harry Kane is “ready to go” ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Latvia on Tuesday.

“Very easy with Harry, he can play and is fit. We did the right thing,” Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference.

“Top in training and ready to go. I don’t see why he should not be able to play 90 minutes. I don’t see any obstacles.”

On Ollie Watkins, who went off injured against Wales and withdrew from the England squad due to injury, Tuchel added: “Ollie [Watkins] left camp, unfortunately.

“It was too painful, and he could not train with us. He is in treatment with his club.
