OK Movement Unveils 59-Member Campaign Council for Obi–Kwankwaso 2027 Bid

ABUJA — The OK Movement, a political platform mobilising support for the joint presidential ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, has unveiled a 59-member Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign structure comprises zonal and state coordinators, alongside directors responsible for key areas including mobilisation, women affairs, strategy, security, legal affairs, administration and information technology.

In a statement issued in Abuja by the movement’s National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, the council is expected to coordinate the group’s activities and take its message to Nigerians across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the statement, John Ughulu will serve as Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, while Saadatu Sani will serve as National Secretary.

The movement also appointed six zonal coordinators: Suleiman Abubakar for the North Central; Hashimu Dungurawa for the North West; Amadu Gwambe for the North East; Dr Adebayo Adefolaseye for the South West; Christopher Ighodaro for the South South; and El-Shaddai Ikeh for the South East.

Ibrahim Jabir was named FCT Coordinator.

Other state-level appointments listed include Maiyaki Samson for Kogi, Tokji Mandim for Plateau, Yusuf Abdullahi for Nasarawa, Aliyu Tershaku for Benue, Awal Goma for Niger and Kazeem Olawuyi for Kwara.
