Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has denied reports linking him to the recent rescue of members of the Adelabu family who were abducted by kidnappers in Oyo State.
Igboho made the clarification following claims circulating on social media and comments reportedly made by media personality Rufai Oseni, suggesting that he played a role in the rescue operation.
Reacting to the reports, Igboho said he neither coordinated nor participated in the mission that led to the victims’ freedom.
According to him, the successful operation was solely carried out by security operatives, who tracked the kidnappers to their hideout, engaged them, and secured the release of the abducted family members.

The activist stressed that the credit for the rescue should go entirely to the security personnel involved, noting that accurate information must be presented to the public.
“I was not involved in the rescue operation in any way. The security agencies deserve the commendation for the work they did,” he stated.
The development comes amid growing public interest in the high-profile kidnapping case, which reportedly ended with the rescue of the victims and the killing of two suspected kidnappers during the operation.
Igboho’s response has now sparked fresh discussions online, as many Nigerians continue to react to the circumstances surrounding the rescue and the roles played by various stakeholders.
